Every year, € 45 billion is invested in water and sewage infrastructure in the European Union. This figure needs to double over the next decade to modernise the overall infrastructure and cope with climate change. Digital technologies especially are key enablers to achieve this modernisation.
Digital-water.city works towards three objectives:
digital-water.city (DWC) develops and demonstrates 15 advanced digital solutions. These solutions covers the whole range of innovative digital technologies, such as augmented reality, mobile technology, cloud computing, sensors, real-time monitoring, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, modelling and open source software.
digital-water.city develops and demonstrates a dozen advanced digital solutions to address current and future water-related challenges.
